Summer Tournament: Regional Team Trophy and 3 Golds
We had a small entry into the 'Summer Tournament', but it was our first entry as a club for 4 years! In the Grade 1 section Cossi and Sophie achieved the highest score of the whole competition and took the Gold medal. Xenia, Phoebe and Nina also took Gold with a confident performance. James and Abi received a 0.3 height deduction but still finished in 4th place and Jess and Katie, competing in their first competition together finished in a very creditable 5th place
At Grade 2, Vicky, Laura and Emma put on a confident and well executed performance to win the Gold medal. To round off a great day, we also took the Regional Team Trophy.

Spelthorne Invitational - Oct 2009: 4 Gold
Despite a freezing sports hall our gymnasts kept their focus and performed fantastically. Cossi and Sophie, Vicky, Laura, Emma; James and Abi and Phoebe, Xenia and Nina all won Gold Medals – it was a great day!

Regional Championships - Nov 2009: 9 Gold, 1 Silver
Our largest ever entry in the Regional Championships saw 30 competitors compete over the weekend. At Grade 1, Cosette and Sophie who performed a near perfect routine finished with Gold. Korben and Will in their first competition overcame obvious nerves to also win Gold as did Phoebe, Xenia & Nina. Melissa, Ava and Aysha also in their first competition just missed out on a medal finishing 4th. At Grade 2, Vicky, Laura and Emma performed confidently to take the Gold medal. Jess and Katie finished with one of the highest technical and artistry scores in their section but their low difficulty tariff meant that they were not medal contenders. On day 2 Gabby, Katie & Siobhan took the Grade 4 Gold as did Steph and Emerald. In the FIG events Becca, Fran and Freya, competing together for the first time won the Silver medal, beaten to the Gold medal by their team mates, Cath, Rosie and Emily. Becky and Megan and Chris and Beth also took Gold to round off an impressive medal tally of 9 Gold and a Silver!

British tournament: Gold, Silver & Bronze
Cath, Rosie and Emily gave a show of excellence, finishing 1st in both qualifying routines and convincingly taking the Gold medal in the Final. Becky & Megan had an incredibly tense competition, with the Top 4 Pairs being almost inseparable. In the Final they scored a fantastic 28.15 to claim the Silver medal in a nail-biting finish. Chris and Beth led throughout qualifying, but were disappointed to finish in overall 3rd due to small errors in their combined routine. Becca, Fran and Freya in their first major competition qualified for the Final in 2nd place. Unfortunately, things didn't go quite to plan from here on and the girls finished in 4th, but have shown great promise for 2010.
