3 Gold, a Bronze and a 4th Place at the First Competition of the Season. Over the weekend of 22 and 23 October, 4 partnerships competed at the first Mike Walker Invitational, a new competition hosted by Southampton Gym Club in honour of the coach that started the club and who was a major influence in the development of Acrobatic Gymnastics in GB. Our Grade 5 Womens Pair took Gold in both the Balance and Dynamic competitions, while our Grade 5 Trio took the Bronze for Their Dynamic Routine. Our newly formed Grade 3 Trio, competing in the regional competition for gymnasts that train no more than 6 hours a week, took the Gold and our new Grade 4 Partnership took a well deserved 4th place, missing out on the Bronze by just 0.08 of a mark and promising much for the future!
