6 Gold, 1 Bronze and a 4th at the NDP Prelims. Oxford gymnasts shone at the NDP Prelims with over 20 gymnasts from the club taking part in 8 different partnerships. By the end of the day 5 partnerships had qualified to represent the South of England at the National Finals in May while the remaining 3 partnerships were selected to represent the south at the Inter-Regional team competition in April.

Inter Regional Competition. Three partnerships competed with the Southern Region Team in the Inter-Regional Championships on 9 April. This competition is only open to gymnasts who have pre qualified and the girls would be competing against gymnasts from 4 different Regions for both individual honours and the Team Trophy. During an excellent day of competition, Oxford achieved a 1, 2, 3; everyone came home with a well deserved medal and as an added bonus, The Southern Region won the Team Trophy as well.

Gold & Bronze at National NDP Final. On 21 & 22 May, 4 partnerships competed at the National Finals, the biggest NDP event of the year, which is only open to the winners of the Regional preliminary competitions which precede the Finals. Megan, Phoebe and Nina produced a fantastic performance to win the gold medal at Grade 2. Rebecca, Cossi and Sophie won Bronze at Grade 3. Freya, Xenia and Grace also performed strongly and finished 4th, just missing out on a podium place. Finally, Izzy & Fiona competed in the competitive Grade 1 Pairs category and finished in an excellent 6th place, just 0.15 behind the bronze. Overall, a great weekend with fantastic results and performances.

Southern Region Championships. Competed over 2 days, the Southern Region Championships is the first regional comp' of the season and a useful work-up for the British and National championships later in the year/following year. An unprecedented 55 Oxford gymnasts took part, scooping 11 medals bewteen them; a fantastic result at all levels.
