On 20th May 3 partnerships form Oxford took part in the British NDP (National Development Plan) Finals at Fenton Manor. This is the biggest NDP event in the BG calendar and is always a tough competition as it is only open to the winners of the 13 UK Regional preliminary competitions which precede the British Final. As such, all of our partnerships were already Regional champions, but this time were competing for National honours.
In an intense day of competiton every partnership excelled. This was all the more impressive as a number of the girls had not competed at a national event before and was testment to the huge effort they had put into their tough competition build up. All their hard work paid off as by the end of the day, Oxford had taken 2 Bronze medals and a 4th place!
Bronze medals went to Molly and Victoria (Grade 1) and Rowan and Fiona (Grade 2) - and an outstanding GB Number 4 spot went to Abi, Eve and Lucy, who proved what can be achieved without a full difficulty tariff if you really focus on excellence. It is absolutely true that its not what you do - its the way that you do it!
