Oxfordshire Sports Awards Dinner. The 'Worlds Girls' (all 4 of them) were nominated for the Junior Sports Team of the Year Award and against stiff competition, made the final 3. This resulted in an invitation to attend the glamorous Awards Presentation Dinner at the Kassam Stadium, Oxford, which was hosted by BBC Radio. The inspiring story of how the girls had overcome adversity to bring home the World Championship Silver Medal (11-16 Womens Groups) "in a whirlwind of emotion, sacrifice and honour," clearly made an impression on the judges and with due ceremony, they were announced as the winners, collecting an engraved glass trophy to mark the occasion.
Christmas Display Final Rehersals. The final rehersals for the Christmas display are always 'interesting' as its the only time that all the gymnasts with their different routines come together in the same place before the actual perfomances. With gymnasts as young as 5 taking part, it takes a huge amount of effort to bring it all together - but somehow - it always does!
