King Edmund International. The KEI is traditionally the warm-up competiton for the British Championships and this year attracted a number of international gymnasts as well. We took a large team to the comp', ranging in experience from NDP Grade 1 to FIG Junior level. By the end of a very long weekend, Oxford had collected 2 Gold, 2 Silver and a Bronze!
4 Gold, 2 Silver and 2 Bronze at Regional Prelims. The Southern Region Prelims is always hotly contested being the selection event for the National Finals. This year, Oxford took an unprecedented 14 partnerships to the competition to compete in categories ranging from Prep B to Grade 3. We came away with 8 medals, with 3 partnerships going on to compete in the National Finals and a further 2representing the Region in the Inter Regional Championships.
Inter Regional Championships. This selective entry competition is only open to Prep B and Grade 1 gymnasts who were placed 2nd, 3rd or 4th in their respective National Prelim competitions. It is a National competition in all but name and with gymnasts from 8 of the UKs regions taking part, it proved to be a hotly contested event. Both Trio's performed great personal best routines and for Ashley, Katie and Hattie this earned them the Silver medal!
