18 - 19 November 2017 Fenton Manor National Sports Centre Photos will be added soon
Over the weekend of 18 to 19 November, 2 partnerships competed at the Pat Wade Classic, formerly known as the British Tournament, the second biggest event in the British Acro calendar. In a very tightly fought competition, Lucy and Ellie held their nerve to win Gold - and with it, an opportunity to attend the Trials for the World Age Group Championships in April 2018! This outstanding achievement was all the more remarkable as Ellie had spent much of the preceding 3 days in hospital following a painful domestic accident. Given the all clear to compete, showing great courage and ably supprted by her partner Lucy, the girls utter determination and professionalism shone through, bringing an outstmading year to a close with another Gold medal. Our newly constituted 12-18 Trio of Sophie, Heather and Natasha also had to fight hard in their first competition and despite only having worked togther for 3 months, took the Silver medal; another fine achievement with much promise for the future.
