2014 National Prelims' - Southern Region

4 Partnerships win a place at the National Finals

March 2nd proved to be a great day for our National Prelims Competition Squad with 4 partnerships winning a coveted place at the National Finals and 2 more being selected to represent the South at the Inter Regional Competition. In doing so, the Squad won 3 Gold, 2 Silver and a Bronze, along with a 4th and 5th place against some tough opposition. The significance of the the event, which only allows Gold Medal winners to proceed to the Finals, was not missed by the girls, who performed some truly excellent routines, including those who didnt make it into the medals but came agonisingly close. One Trio being edged into 4th place by just 6/100ths of a mark! Congratulations to everyone who took part! The full results were as follows:

National Finalists:

Steph' and Samara: Grade 3 Womens Pairs (Silver).
Elspeth, Aysha and Charlotte: Grade 4 Womens Pairs (Gold).
Ashley and Lucy: Grade 4 Womens Pairs (Gold).
Laura and Fiona: Grade 6 Womens Groups: (Gold).

Inter Regional Competition Team Members:

Bryony, Matilda and Lara: Grade 2 Womens Groups (Silver).
Katie, Georgia and Anna: Grade 3 Womens Groups (Bronze).

Prelims Placings:

Kirsten, Heather and Esme: Grade 3 Womens Groups: 4th.
April and Lana: Grade 4 Womens Pairs: 5th.
